This role is essential in providing support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. The Behavioral Specialist will utilize their expertise in applied behavior analysis and patient assessment to develop tailored interventions that promote positive behavioral changes and enhance the quality of life for our clients. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments to determine individual needs. Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis principles. Collect and analyze data to track progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide direct patient care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, educators, and family members, to ensure holistic care. Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and interventions. Stay updated on best practices in behavioral health and participate in ongoing training opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation practices. Proficient in data collection methods and analysis related to behavioral interventions. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and families. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating empathy and patience.
