Behavior Program Specialist PHP Alabama -Birmingham is currently seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to provide onsite behavior analysis services for persons with Intellectual Disabilities. We provide behavior analysis services in both Residential and Adult Day Training settings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work to develop Behavior Support Plans for all people served with behavioral issues. Under the direction of the Program Services Director, in-service all staff members on new and existing Behavior Support Plans, changes and updates to Behavior Support Plans, monitor staff members’ implementation of Behavior Support Plans and provide feedback. Complete monthly reviews and notes of programs, data, and progress on all assigned cases. Attend Person Centered Plan meetings, for assigned cases, in conjunction with QIDP’s for all people served with behavioral issues. Assist QIDP’s with skill acquisition programming for all people with behavioral issues. Obtain/maintain Safety Care Trainer certification and ensure all procedures are implemented in accordance with Safety Care and the State. For all assigned cases, update Behavior Support Plans annually and as needed and ensure that data sheets are updated. Assist in supervising, training, providing feedback, and monitoring direct support staff as requested. Provide regular feedback regarding all programs and activities at PHP. Adhere to all policies and procedures and perform all other duties as requested/required Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Must pass a Level II background check 1 year experience in Behavioral Therapy Prior knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis Able to work closely in a collaborative work environment with other therapists and staff
