$65.8K – $83.3K a year 10 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft PowerPoint BCBA-D Special education Mid-level Driver’s License Organizational skills BCBA Communication skills Full Job Description School Based Behavior Analyst Hartford Area The School Based Behavior Analyst is responsible for providing comprehensive behavior analysis services to students with diverse needs. The BCBA will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents and other professionals to develop, implement and monitor evidence based interventions that promote positive student outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Build rapport and professional working relationships with stakeholders in the school setting Collaborate with school personnel including: general and special education teachers and staff, related service providers school administrators and outside providers as needed Lead or support teams in conducting functional behavior assessments and other relevant assessments of behavior (VB-MAPP, ABLLS, AFLS, EFL, etc) Develop and/or support teams in developing relevant goals, objectives, support plans and teaching protocols as indicated by data Develops and implements Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) through the use of the results of Functional Assessments and Analysis and team collaboration Train and support staff in implementing Behavior Intervention plans Assist teams in collecting and analyzing data related to interventions, individualized education programs, skill acquisition programs and/or classwide, schoolwide or districtwide initiatives Supervise RBTs, paraprofessionals or other educators in implementing behavior analytic services and interventions Develop and deliver professional development to school staff Participate in Individualized Education Program/Planning and Placement Team (IEP/PPT) and other educational team meetings Demonstrates strict adherence to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Codes, as stated by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) and adhere to the Guidelines and Professional Standards for BCBAs in Schools (CSDE) Attend and participate in agency meetings as needed Adhere to all required evaluation and reporting requirements Complete required evaluations and produce written within 30 working days following receipt of documentation of consent Create and maintain learner profiles in designated data management system including all required documentation as indicated by documentation checklist (IEP, FBA, BIP, teaching protocols, etc) Adheres to all company policies and directives from upper management Assist in crisis management a Verifies appointments according to agency policy Participate in 6-month and annual job performance reviews by completing self-evaluation and attending conferences with assigned supervisors Comply with agency and/or school dress code/policies Travel between school buildings and/or school districts as needed

All Candidates Must Maintain:

A valid driver’s license A current auto insurance policy Approved Crisis Intervention Certification (e.g., Safety Care, CPI, PMT)

Minimum Qualifications:

Active certification from the BACB as a BCBA or BCBA-D in good standing Licensed Behavior Analyst in good standing Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and families Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities Self direct and able to take initiative Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Minimum Physical Requirements:

Ability to move easily between sitting and standing. Ability to maintain a safe, supportive environment by quickly responding to clients as needed (i.e. blocking unsafe behavior or quickly moving to reinforce positive behavior). Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds

Training and Competency Requirements:

Required to maintain a working knowledge of special education process and law, including but not limited to: Full time employees must attend all mandatory trainings related to their role (part time must show evidence of meeting competency in mandatory training area) Full time Behavior Analyst must obtain and provide documentation of 8 hours supervision training provided by an BACB accredited organization.
