Behavior Technician Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, implementing behavior management techniques and strategies. The Behavior Technician will play a crucial role in assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing patient care while adhering to medical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations.

Duties:
  • Implement behavior management plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism to provide support and guidance
  • Assist in the assessment and evaluation of patient progress
  • Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors and social skills
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including special education professionals
Skills:
  • Proficiency in medical terminology related to behavioral health
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and applied behavior analysis principles
  • Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient care practices
  • Understanding of special education practices and strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, and team members
Requirements:
  • Certification or coursework in behavior analysis or related field
  • Previous experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
