PPR is a special needs in-home service that specializes in babysitting kids and Adults with Autism, developmental delays, developmental disorders, ADD, ADHD, ODD, and other intellectual disabilities. We also provide social and life skills, ADL help, learning through fun and play and services tailored to the needs of the client. The owner has 13 years of professional experience with these disorders and behaviors in the ABA field. Everyone who works at PPR has a passion for the field of ABA and care for others. We give parents a break by providing our in-home service that won’t disrupt routines that are already set in place. We are kind, passionate, and professional. Growth opportunities A special needs babysitter looks after a child or adult with a physical, mental, or emotional disability, such as autism, for short periods of time to give the primary caregiver, such as the parent, nanny, or nurse some time off. As a special needs babysitter, your duties and responsibilities may be to watch the child, providing care such as feeding, changing, or administering medication. You may drive the child to appointments, school, or other social activities. As a special needs babysitter, you should have some knowledge of the types of special needs your children or adult has and design activities appropriately. Ensure the rights and dignity of clients are respected and upheld
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Implement behavior management techniques as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for client.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of special needs principles and practices
- Experience in ABA or special needs care
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Understanding of kids and adults rights and privacy regulations. Familiarity with childcare or social work is a plus Education
- RBT certification strongly preferred but not needed.
Upon completing course 5 dollar raise will be added. CPR required.
