Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support individuals in an APD-regulated residential and adult day training setting. The Clinician will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and implementing Behavior Analysis Service Plans (BASP), training staff, monitoring behavioral data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals receiving services.
Role & Responsibilities:
Client Intake & Assessment:
Prepare intake binders for new clients, including essential assessment tools (e.g., ABC data sheets, Property Destruction logs, Reinforcer Assessments, Self-Care observation forms). Conduct a 30-day observation/assessment for new clients to establish action items prior to admission, define weekly skill objectives, and provide clinical recommendations. Complete a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) within 30 days of client intake. Develop and submit a Behavior Analysis Service Plan (BASP) within 90 days of client intake.
Behavior Plan Development & Approval Process:
Submit FBAs and BASPs to the Clinical Director three days prior to the submission deadline for review. Obtain informed consent from Guardians for updated BASPs before implementation. Ensure timely submission of BASPs to LRC by the specified day of the desired month (5:00 PM deadline) outlined by LRC. Present BASPs at LRC meetings and communicate approval status to the Clinical Director (Full Approval, Approval with Modifications, or Not Approved). Implement required modifications within 30 days if the BASP is “Approved with Modifications.”
Training & Staff Support:
Conduct BASP training with all current staff in assigned group homes and maintain sign-off documentation. Perform monthly fidelity checks on BASP implementation, ensuring at least 50% of staff in each group home are reviewed and retrained as needed. Conduct weekly visits to assigned group homes, reviewing behavior data, replacement behaviors, ABC data, property destruction logs, and reactive strategy documentation. Provide environmental recommendations and behavioral support strategies to Residential Program Managers.
Behavioral Data Monitoring & Compliance:
Review and sign off on all reactive strategy entries for assigned consumers. Submit monthly Reactive Strategy reports in iConnect by the 5th of each month. Analyze behavioral data and submit reports for psych meetings, support plan meetings, and QSI meetings as needed. Communicate with Guardians regarding behavioral concerns, recommending environmental modifications and potential medication adjustments based on data trends.
Qualifications:
Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required. Experience working in APD-regulated residential and group home settings preferred. Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, FBA processes, and BASP development. Proficiency in iConnect and behavioral data collection platforms. Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills. Ability to train and support direct care staff effectively. Exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure timely completion of assessments, plan submissions, and documentation.
