- Job Overview
- As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly children with autism. You will work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans and help clients develop essential life skills.
- Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed by the BCBA
- Collect data on client progress and behaviors during sessions
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Educate and support families on behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with the BCBA to adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and records
- Skills
- Proficiency in implementing care plans and behavior intervention strategies
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly children
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
