Immediate openings for 1 full time and 1 part time position!! Apply today!!! The Behavioral Specialist position will serve as a second responder for blended mobile crisis dispatches, providing community-based, face-to-face, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis. Under the supervision of a BCBA, this role will complete behavior assessments for IDD/ASD individuals served by the mobile team. Behavioral Specialists are expected to be actively working towards their BCBA while employed in this role.

Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain professional working relationships with law enforcement professionals; coordinate on-site support when situation dictates. (BCBA/BS coordinate with Clinician (CLN), Consumer, and third part caller (TPC)) Support the BCBA’s assessment process and will complete behavior assessments for individuals where IDD and/or ASD are indicated under the direction and assignment of the supervising BCBA. Review recommendations with caregivers to ensure understanding. Attend individual and group meetings with BCBAs and participate in case reviews. Complete all required trainings for Behavior Specialists and RBTs. Complete RBT training certificate in accordance with established timeline, if applicable. Comply with applicable legal, regulatory and workplace reporting requirements (possible abuse and neglect reporting). Coordinate with approved vendors for non-emergency transport as requested by the on-site clinician and/or BCBA. Assist with appropriate paperwork during assessment of individual, complete IDD/ASD assessment (MCAR), coordinating dispatch, completing follow-up calls and emails as appropriate. Prepare electronic reports on critical incidents as needed and daily shift reports as required. Maintain credential and certification. Adhere to governing ethics requirements. Maintain and document minimum 5% supervision by a BCBA as required by the BCBA board. This role may also be responsible for performing similar duties of the BCBA. Requirements:

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Minimum DBHDD experience or two years of experience in behavioral support evaluation and services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the state of Georgia. Experience may include individualized treatment programming, monitoring and observing behavior, collecting and recording behavioral observations in a treatment setting, and developing /implementing behavior plans for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Education & Credentials Master’s degree in a social services-related field such as psychology, behavior analysis, education, social work or a related field. Must meet the state specified course-work requirements or equivalents and requirements of BHL’s internal credentialing process for Behavior Specialists. Behavior analysis coursework or training certificate of 35 hours of training completed. Must maintain RBT. Work Location & Schedule Requirements This is a fully remote position, that will not require daily reporting to an office. You may be required to attend occasional in-person meetings depending on business needs. Travel may be required by rail, car or plane. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, therefore maintaining a working schedule of hours amenable to EST is required.
