Jimmy Carter Boulevard, Norcross, GA 30071 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Support Specialist-ABA Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance the quality of life for our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care, data collection, and medical documentation, as well as the ability to assess and address the unique needs of each individual to provide an appropriate assessment and appropriate intervention. Responsibilities Implement individualized Behavior Support Plans-ABA therapy plans tailored to each client’s needs. Conduct patient assessments to evaluate progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Collect and analyze data on client behavior to track improvements and identify areas for further development. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to client care. Provide training and support to families on strategies and interventions to reinforce positive behaviors at home. Stay informed about best practices in Behavior Support Plans-ABA therapy and engage in ongoing professional development. Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is required. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Proficiency in data collection methods related to behavioral analysis. Experience working with children is preferred, particularly in therapeutic settings. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
