School Based Behavior Specialist Role – Newton, MA 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars Newton, MA 02458 Minimum 1+ years Behavior Specialist experience required. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavior Specialist to support students during the Extended School Year program with a fantastic school district. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a Behavior Technician or ABA-trained professional who is comfortable working with students with a variety of disabilities.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct behavior support and intervention to students during the extended school year Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a supervising BCBA or school team Collect and track behavior data to monitor student progress Support students in inclusive and self-contained settings Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to promote positive student outcomes

Qualifications:

Certification or experience as a Behavior Technician or ABA professional required Experience working with students with various disabilities (including autism, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral disorders) Ability to remain calm and responsive in a dynamic classroom environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills
