Northeast Family Services offers candidates seeking the BCBA credential: High-quality supervision of fieldwork hours Hands-on training with ongoing clinical support from your supervising BCBA Access to multiple, free monthly professional development and training activities on a rotation of relevant topics and skills A supervision experience tailored to meet your needs, with a focus on skill advancement and the achievement of your professional goals Weekly individual supervision meetings Access to weekly group supervision, where you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals on content from the BCBA Test Content Outline (6th edition) Opportunities to draw meaningful connections between the material on the BCBA certification exam and practical application of the content Any amount of needed fieldwork hours via either a supervised fieldwork or concentrated supervised fieldwork model The ABA Clinician position provides the opportunity to work as an In Home Behavior Therapist and Behavior Technician to achieve the perfect balance of unrestricted and restricted fieldwork hours, while making sure you have hands on experience with all the skills you’ll need to practice as a BCBA! As an In Home Behavior Therapist (IHBS) , you will provide structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic interventions in a client’s home for the purpose of treating a youth’s behavioral needs. IHBS Therapists support caregivers to better understand their children’s needs by exploring patterns of behavior and improving communication. As a Behavior Technician , you will be responsible for the implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will monitor client behavior, collect data on client behavior, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, special education or related CBHI approved degree program Minimum 1 year of experience working with children, youth and families in a home or community setting highly desirable Experience working with children diagnosed with behavioral-emotional disorders preferred Experience with working with children on the autism spectrum desirable Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred Effective written and verbal communication skills A compassionate approach to care
