Starting at $23+ per hour, based on experience, with the potential for a raise after 90 days.
Behavior Technician Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking Behavioral Technician to join our team in the highly rewarding field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As a Behavioral Technician , you will provide one-on-one support to children with autism, helping them build essential life skills while reducing challenging behaviors using evidence-based behavioral techniques. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of making a meaningful impact in a child’s life, fostering growth and independence in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Behavior Technician Responsibilities:
Work directly with children with autism in a one-on-one setting. Implement individualized skill-building and behavior-reduction plans under the guidance of a supervisor. Accurately collect and record behavioral data to track progress. Provide de-escalation support and crisis intervention when needed. Create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children and their families.
Behavior Technician Requirements & Skills:
Experience with autism or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is preferred but not required. Must be physically capable of engaging in active play and providing physical support during crisis situations. Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to accept and apply feedback effectively. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or GED required. Willingness to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
