The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavior analysis, working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct support to clients and their families. The BCBA will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop tailored behavior intervention plans. Implement and monitor behavior intervention strategies, ensuring they are effective and appropriate for each client. Provide training and support to staff, caregivers, and family members on behavior management techniques. Collect and analyze research data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments. Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including communication with educators and healthcare providers. Stay current with developments in the field of behavior analysis and special education to enhance professional practice. Requirements Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and developmental disabilities. Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or developmental disabilities. Proficient in patient care techniques and diagnostic evaluation methods. Ability to conduct research data collection effectively, ensuring accuracy in reporting findings. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate approach towards working with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
