Job Description
BCBA Candidate Mentorship Program 2.4 2.4 out of 5 stars 1346 How Lane, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 We are seeking dedicated and compassionate BCBA Candidates (Candidate) to join our team. The ideal Candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. The Candidate will gain experience conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing ABA therapy to clients in various center, home and community settings. The Candidate practices under the close, ongoing supervision of our BCBAs and Supervising BCBA and is responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior reduction plans. The Candidate provides assistance to children, families, and team members in providing an appropriate, safe learning environment to students enrolled in the program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Current enrollment in a Master’s Degree Program in Applied Behavior Analysis Have an energetic attitude and desire to help learners succeed Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of ABA Commitment to maintaining professional conduct and adhering to ethical guidelines Experience working with children preferred Experience with special needs individuals preferred Must be able to maintain a reliable schedule Are sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population Have the ability to remain calm and neutral in challenging situations
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in-center, in-home, in the community, or at a daycare center Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA Accurately collect and record data on client behavior and progress Collaborate with the BCBA regarding client care Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for the client Maintain professional, respectful, and compassionate interactions with clients and their families Performs other duties as assigned
MENTORSHIP & SUPERVISION PROGRAM
Sovereign Care’s Mentorship & Supervision Program for BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) candidates includes: A Structured Fieldwork Plan aligned with the BACB Task List, ensuring quality fieldwork hours. Group Supervision, where candidates join cohorts to meet biweekly with a Supervising BCBA for class application discussions. Individual Supervision comprising monthly 1:1 meetings and hands-on work with experienced BCBAs. BCBA Exam Preparation with tailored support based on individual learning needs. Post-exam support structured for the first year as a BCBA, including biweekly individual meetings with the supervising
BCBA. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Valid CPR Certification RBT Certification (preferred/willing to complete) Proof of liability insurance Clear criminal background
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in the English language
- Physically able to move from a standing position to one knee and back up, without assistance or support
- Normal functioning and range of motion in arms, legs, hips, wrists, back, neck, etc
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
