The BT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide direct support to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. This role is essential in implementing behavior intervention plans and assisting clients in achieving their personal goals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others and committed to fostering a positive environment for learning and growth. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the BCBA. Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals. Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence. Provide support in educational settings, reinforcing skills learned in therapy. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records related to client care. Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Educate clients and families on strategies for managing behaviors effectively. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Skills Proficient in data collection methods and analysis related to behavior management. Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies. Familiarity with medical documentation, care plans, and medical records. Ability to assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs). Strong communication skills for educating clients, families, and team members. Background in special education is preferred but not required. A compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to client welfare.
