Job Summary:

The PBIS Provider delivers individualized Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) services to participants in the NHTD and TBI waiver programs . This role focuses on assisting individuals with behavioral challenges to promote independence, community integration, and an improved quality of life . The provider collaborates with participants, service teams, and caregivers to develop and implement effective behavioral strategies .

Responsibilities:

Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to determine the root causes of behaviors. Develop individualized PBIS plans to address behavioral challenges and promote positive outcomes. Provide direct behavioral interventions, coaching, and skill-building techniques tailored to the participant’s needs. Train caregivers, family members, and service providers on PBIS strategies and behavior management techniques. Monitor and document participant progress , adjusting PBIS plans as necessary. Collaborate with waiver service coordinators, clinical teams, and other service providers to ensure a holistic approach to care. Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, waiver program guidelines, and documentation requirements. Attend meetings, training sessions, and case reviews as needed.

Qualifications:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavior Analysis, or a related field (preferred). Experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), developmental disabilities, or behavioral health challenges . Knowledge of PBIS principles, behavior modification techniques, and functional behavioral assessments . Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills . Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for travel to participants’ locations). Compliance with background check and health screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in PBIS, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or related behavioral intervention methodologies. Previous experience in a Medicaid waiver program or community-based behavioral health services . Bilingual abilities are a plus.
