Behavioral Specialist- Full-Time 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 919 North Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10701 Richmond Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) to join our team. In this role, you will develop and implement behavior support plans that foster independence, skill development, and quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and revise individualized behavior support plans based on assessments and data analysis Conduct functional behavior assessments and monitor progress through consistent data collection Provide training and ongoing support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in behavioral strategies and interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and external committees to ensure coordinated care Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and staff development sessions Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and progress summaries
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field (BCBA certification preferred) Experience working in behavioral or clinical services, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
