Job Summary :
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supports students with behavioral, social-emotional, and academic needs by designing and implementing evidence-based behavior intervention programs. This role involves collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student success and promote a positive school climate across the district.
Qualifications:
Must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst Experience working in an educational environment Experience and skills related to behavioral interventions, data collection, and analysis Certification in Safety Care, or willingness to complete certification upon hire Strong verbal and written language skills Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills Ability to organize and conduct Functional Behavior Assessments Ability to provide training and consultation Familiarity with Special Education laws and regulations Ability to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders Strong organizational and time management skills
POSITION FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Responsibilities:
Provide direct or consultative behavioral support for students across general and special education settings Assist educational staff in the development, maintenance, and implementation of classroom behavior plans, IEP goals, progress monitoring, positive behavior support plans, and/or crisis management plans Assist in crisis prevention and response planning Provide training and consultation to school staff on behavior strategies, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and classroom management strategies Provide parent training and consultation as needed Create data collection tools in order to guide behavioral goal development Collect and analyze behavior data to guide decision-making Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals related to behavior Collaborate with Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams, including special education teachers, regular education teachers, psychologists, parents, and related service providers Monitor fidelity and effectiveness of behavior plans and interventions Maintain contact and confidentiality with appropriate agencies, parents, private providers, district personnel, etc., regarding student needs and progress, as appropriate Consult with administrators and staff regarding best practices and regulations on behavioral interventions Complete all required reports and records within established timelines as required by Federal and State regulations and District policies and procedures Stay current with best practices and legal regulations regarding behavioral services in educational settings Provide or participate in professional development on pertinent topics Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent or Coordinator of Student Services
