The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides behavioral intervention to students with autism and other behavioral challenges. This role involves working directly with students to implement behavior management plans and support positive behavior development.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement behavior intervention plans for students under the direction of a Behavior Analyst or Special Education Teacher. Monitor student behavior and progress toward individualized goals. Collect data on students’ behavior and report it to the supervising staff. Assist with the development of behavior management strategies. Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure the success of students. Provide consistent feedback and reinforcement to students. Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive environment for students. Attend training and professional development as required. Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Registered Behavior Technician certification. Experience working with children with behavioral challenges. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with children with special needs. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively; sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
