We are expanding our services to Columbia, SC to support older adults with early-stage dementia in assisted living settings. If you are compassionate, flexible, and passionate about helping individuals maintain their independence and quality of life— we want you on our team ! This role focuses on teaching daily living skills, promoting engagement, and supporting memory retention to help seniors remain independent as long as possible. You’ll receive training in applying behavior analytic strategies to aging populations and work closely with a supportive, interdisciplinary team.

Requirements:

Collaborative Behavior Technician Responsibilities:
Implement behavior support plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Provide direct one-on-one support to older adults experiencing early-stage dementia or cognitive decline Promote independence by teaching and reinforcing daily living skills (e.g., hygiene routines, meal preparation, memory aids) Collect and document data on client behavior, engagement, and progress Assist with the development and ongoing implementation of individualized care and support plans Collaborate with the BCBA, assisted living staff, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies Support clients in maintaining social interaction, emotional regulation, and personal dignity Offer compassionate communication and emotional support to both clients and their families
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, gerontology, or a related field preferred Prior experience working with older adults or individuals with cognitive impairments is a strong plus Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Current CPR certification required Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a respectful and empathetic approach to aging populations Ability to accurately implement behavior plans and follow clinical direction Reliable transportation to assisted living facilities or community-based settings This is a meaningful opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting seniors in maintaining independence, dignity, and quality of life.
