Emp Status Regular Full time Work Shift Day (United States of America) Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $46.86 – $47.97. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. Overview:

As a Biomedical Technician II, you will play a vital role in supporting this mission by ensuring the safe and effective operation of biomedical equipment used across the hospital. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and provide timely repairs to support clinical teams and improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Perform evaluation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of biomedical equipment with minimal supervision Conduct safety and compliance inspections in accordance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards Maintain accurate documentation of service activities using electronic systems Collaborate closely with clinical staff to support equipment needs and ensure satisfaction Mentor or assist other technicians as needed, and contribute to a team-oriented environment Maintain tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory; ensure all equipment is calibrated and in working order Stay current on industry standards, safety codes, and emerging technologies Adhere to all hospital and regulatory safety and compliance requirements Perform other related duties as assigned Travel to various HSS sites is required for this role.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences, Biomedical Science, or related field Minimum of 5 years’ experience in biomedical equipment troubleshooting and maintenance Proficiency in using PDAs and computer-based documentation systems Strong customer service skills and the ability to build professional working relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), or willingness to obtain Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and service biomedical/electronic devices Experience in a hospital or clinical setting Clear and effective communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience working within a service-focused team environment Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset

Hospital-provided transportation will be available. Depending on the assignment timing and scope, technicians may be permitted to conclude their workday from the off-site location.
