Job Description
Schedule Information Monday- Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Based out of: York Hospital Traveling to : Apple Hill & WSRH& possible other locations General Summary Repairs, calibrates, tests, and maintains a variety of imaging-related equipment or systems. at an advanced specialist skills level. This position supports equipment such as, but not limited to: Computed Tomography, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Cath Lab and linear Accelerators.
Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions:
Performs preventative maintenance inspections and electrical safety testing for supported imaging equipment and corrects problems encountered. Analyzes supported imaging equipment for cause(s) of failure. Isolates, tests and replaces defective parts. Uses available test equipment to test functionality of supported imaging equipment. Troubleshoots problems and repairs the equipment. Makes necessary operational adjustments to supported imaging equipment. Takes sensitivity, selectivity, and accuracy measurements. Responds to emergency calls for supported imaging equipment. Troubleshoots equipment problems and repairs hardware as needed. Monitors and assists manufacturers as needed to ensure maximum repair efficiency with minimum down time at lowest possible cost. Orders necessary parts and maintains required inventory. Interfaces directly with radiologists, technologists, vendor service engineers and vendor sales representatives. Provides service support for all types of imaging equipment including highly specialized areas such as Computed Tomography, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Cath Lab and Linear Accelerators Utilizes Biomedical’s CMMS to inventory, document required information on the modality and completes works orders as required. Configures modalities for Dicom store, print, send, MPPS, MWL, and Query/Retrieve as required. Configures modalities for networking using wireless/hardware connectivity Configures, installs and maintains PACS Diagnostic and Clinical workstations and associated PACS devices such as CD/DVD Burners, Laser Imagers and CR Readers. Troubleshoots connectivity issues with modalities sending to PACS and receiving MWL while working closely with IT and PACS. Assists with budget and contract management data and support for supported equipment Provides project management support for equipment and systems being installed at WellSpan Health. Works with IT Security Team (WellSOC) to ensure data security on all devices and modalities that are part of a Biomedical or Imaging System.

Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
Associates Degree Required Work Experience:
8 years Relevant experience.
Required Licenses:
Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician Upon Hire Required or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist Upon Hire Required Driver’s License Statement:
Must possess a valid driver’s license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
