Travel We’re lookingfor a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist (Cath Lab Tech) for animmediate travel opening in Birmingham, AL. The right Cath Lab Techmust have 1 year of experience. Read below for additionalrequirements. Cath Lab Techs assist doctors during advanceddiagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as cardiaccatheterization, peripheral vascular procedures, and structuralheart procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Scrubbing,monitoring and assisting providers as requested. As a Cath LabTech, you will be responsible for: Preparing the Cardiac Labprocedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock is available and inworking condition, including instrument sterilization ifapplicable. Preparing patient and equipment for cardiac labprocedures by preparing site of entry, draping patient, arrangingsterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and settingup pressure transducers and tubing. Operating and ensuring thequality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab.
Knowledge of all related equipment within the laboratory. Scrubbingin during procedures, assisting the physician in maneuveringcatheters. Obtaining and recording hemodynamic, electrical, andangiographic data by operating-hemodynamic and electricalamplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment. Monitoringthe patient’s hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiaccath lab. Participating in life-saving measures such asdefibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Cath Lab techsshould be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as wellas bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Must have 1 year ofexperience. The Cath Lab Tech must have
BLS, ACLS, ARRT
