Job Summary and QualificationsThe Part-Time EndoscopyRadiologic Technologist must: demonstrate an understanding of humananatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology; andmaintain a high degree of accuracy in Radiologic positioning andexposure techniques. He/she must maintain knowledge about radiationprotection and safety. The Radiologic Technologists prepare for andassist the physician in the completion of intricate Radiologicexaminations. They prepare and administer contrast media inaccordance with state, federal, and hospital regulations. TheRadiologic Technologists are the primary liaison between patientsand departmental physicians and other members of the support team.

They must remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs ofthe patient through good communication, patient assessment, patientmonitoring, and patient care skills.

What you will do in this role: You will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary toprovide appropriate care for patient populations served in his/herdepartment. You will demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth anddevelopment over the life span and possess the ability to assessdata reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/herage-specific needs. You will assess patients’/families’ ability to learn andincorporate teaching. You will deliver compassionate, holistic care while supportingthe rights and dignity of all patients. You will demonstrate knowledge of equipment and procedures forthe radiological dept.

What qualifications you will need: Graduation from an accredited education program in RadiologicTechnology.

ARRT R.T.

(R) (denotes successful completion of the ARRTcertification examination) or registry eligible. Must be registry eligible and obtain ARRT within 6 months ofthe hire date; if not obtained, termination will occur. 1 year post-graduate experience strongly preferred. American Heart Association BLS certification required. Past experience working in the Endoscopy Lab stronglypreferred. Ability to work part-time and fulfill call requirements.
