Weekly Job Description:

TheCardiovascular-Interventional Radiologic Technologist II (CIRT) isregistered by the state of California Radiologic Association andpossesses a California state fluoroscopy permit. The CIRT hasresponsibility, training and competence with diagnostic, routineand complex interventional cardiac angiographic and cardiac implantprocedures. The duties also include routine and complex vascular,peripheral vascular, non-vascular, interventional and traumaprocedures. The technologist is also trained in OR radiographs.

CIRT’s must have a combination of technical, radiologic andclinical skills. The CIRT is under the direction of the physicianof record during a procedure and reports to the clinicalcoordinators and Director of Cardiology. The CIRT has theresponsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe,effective, quality, cost effective care according to the philosophyand goals of the Patient Care Division. Care is provided accordingto the specific physiologic developmental and psychosocial needs ofthe patients. The CIRT supports the mission, vision values, andexpectation of excellence.
