The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs and processes rest andstress Cardiology scans. Performs quality control, and assistsphysicians in generating reports. Performs camera quality controls according tomanufactures recommendations including; daily floods, weekly barphantom resolutions and center of rotations. 2. Responsible forhandling laboratory & biohazard wastes. 2.1 Orders nuclear doses inappropriate quantities to accommodate the provider schedules and toavoid costly wastes. 3. Performs data acquisition process. 3.1Positions camera in multiple manipulations as requested by thephysicians or dictated by the studies. 4. Generates reports asrequired. 4.1 Assists physicians with displaying of data forinterpretations. Qualifications

EDUCATION

High School diploma orequivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Nuclear Medicine Cardiology experiencerequired.

LICENSURE

Nuclear Medicine license and/or certificationrequired. Meets continuing educaiton requirements required tomaintain license.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

Requires extended periods ofsitting, walking and standing. Moderate unassisted lifting to30lbs.

Additional Information HOURS:

Per diem/As needed NMTCB orARRT certification required. BLS certification required. Minimum 2years nuclear cardiology experience. Rotating work locations -Trumbull, Fairfield, Milford. YNHHS Requisition ID 138980
