Cardiac Sonographer florida heart and health Tamarac, FL 33321 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality images for interpretation by physicians. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment. We perform echo, stress echo, carotid ultrasound, lower extremities, and other testing in the office Duties Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal and cardiac studies. Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely. Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary to obtain optimal results. Document patient information and examination results accurately in electronic health records. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnosis. Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during procedures. Monitor patients’ vital signs during examinations to ensure their safety and comfort. Maintain a clean and organized work environment per hospital policies. Skills Proficient in medical terminology related to sonography and cardiology. Strong knowledge of physiology and the ability to interpret vital signs accurately. Ability to operate radiology equipment safely and effectively while adhering to best practices in patient care. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
