Job Description:

Cath Lab Tech – Cath Lab (23000464) The Cath Lab Technologist specializes in assisting with cardiac procedures and other procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab and/or bedside as needed using medical imaging techniques and equipment necessary to complete procedures under the direction of a licensed practitioner. Employer conducts background and reference checks and drug screening. TGH is a tobacco-free campus.

Responsibilities:

Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designated to project a positive image of the department and the hospital. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians, and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful, and considerate manner to promote a harmonious work environment. Answers telephone in a prompt and courteous manner. Provides assistance, explains procedures and exhibits concern, as appropriate, to callers or in face-to-face situations. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the hospital’s Standards of Conduct and of our external and internal customers. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.

Qualifications:

Graduate from Radiologic Technology OR Cardiovascular Technology program required. Copy of diploma or transcripts must be provided with a diploma being the preferred verification.
Six (6) months experience with Cardiac Cath Lab performing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) (Preferred)
License for General Radiograph by the State of Florida and registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) for Radiograph (R). Required for Radiologic Technology program graduates.
Current registry with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). Required for Cardiovascular Technology program graduates.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardia Life Support (ACLS) through the American Red Cross (ARC) or the American Heart Association (AHA). Required for all. Work Location (On Site Only)
