Job Description Well known group of physicians in Jacksonville since 1997. It is a private single specialty cardiology and vascular endovascular practice. There are eight physicians in the group five interventionalists including one structural, as well as one electrophysiologist and two noninvasive. The practice located on the Southside of Jacksonville across the street from Memorial Hospital Jacksonville. The main office has an abundance of exam rooms, well-trained medical assistants, eight ARNP s. Full ancillary services including an office based cath lab (converting to two room ASC in 2025-26 )nuclear medicine including SPECT and cardiac PET, cardiac as well as full spectrum 128 slice CT with AI, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, pacer checks, remote and holter monitoring etc. Our echo and vascular labs are staffed by registered techs (RVT and RDMS) and we have a very busy venous program including laser and radiofrequency ablations and sclerotherepy, etc. The office based laboratory is busy with peripheral vascular interventional procedures, cardiac interventions and coronary diagnostic angiograms. As a cardiologist in this practice, you will do the majority of the procedures in our office based lab. You will be busy with peripheral vascular cases. The peripheral cases from carotids to feet can be simple to complex and specially below the knee work. The cath lab is equipped with latest in all devices and technology. The peripheral vascular practice is well established with a diverse referral base. Importantly the more experienced operators work alongside and help new peripheral interventionalists gain the experience and exposure to the complex cases at the office based lab.

THIS POSITION DOES NOT INCLUDE STRUCTURAL. HOSPITAL

the main office is located across the street from Memorial Hospital Jacksonville, an approximately 450 bed hospital owned by HCA. This hospital has 6 labs, 4 cardiac and Peripheral, one or two full time EP labs and a hybrid room that can do routine coronary and PV, EP WATCHMAN, lead extraction, latest ablations and has a structural program including TAVR. The practice maintains 11 sub offices. Ordinarily, there may be a few days per month to a sub office for clinic patients. Most clinics are not far away and the entire day will be spent there with no other duties. The area that almost all doctors live in is actually in the middle of this area and you are equidistant to most offices from your home. The group is on call rotation 1 in 5 or 6 depending on the amount of interventionalists employed. Call is relatively very easy since all groups split the PERT and STEMI call. Being on call for the group is supported by ARNP or PA. We have about 25-45 patients in the hospital every day to consult or round and this number will grow. We have ARNP s to assist. The group admits patients through the hospitalists and our cardiologists act as consultants. After you leave for the eve, usually phone calls only except interventionalists respond to emergencies on our patients or if we happened to be on call for PERT, STEMI or cold leg teams. The volume of this practice is high, the referrals come from over 150 referral sources and there is a very large population of established patients in the group. You will enter a very busy practice. There will be some general cardiology for everyone in the group, but the interventionalists will be busy with peripheral vascular and coronary cases.
