- AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures.
GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The role you’ll contribute:
Performs quality electrocardiograms (ECGs), Signal average (SAECGs), 24-48 hour ambulatory monitor hook ups, treadmill exercise tolerance tests, pharmacological stress tests and stress echocardiograms. Work requires precision in recording and preparing data. Must be able to tolerate highly charged emotional situations. Able to identify dysrhythmias to provide physicians with quality and accurate diagnostic information on neonatal through gerontologic patients. Demonstrates judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Knowledgeable in and carries out all applicable processes of the dept. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required. Participates in the AdventHealth Tampa performance improvement program as requested. Assists as needed with various office responsibilities to include, physician’s billing, verifying patient MRI #s prior to editing and responding to phone inquiries/fax requests from departments and physician offices. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

- Performs, properly documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
- Electrocardiograms
- Exercise stress test
- Pharmacological stress test (stress portion)
- Nuclear stress test (stress portion)
- Stress echocardiogram (stress portion)
- 24-48 hours hook up and scans
- Remote pacemaker testing .
- Communicates abnormal finding to nurse and or physician.
- Maintain supplies for cardiac testing .
- Monitor ECG worklist, ensure cardiologist assignment for ECG interpretation, notify physicians on panel reading schedule .
- Equipment cleaning after each use and end of shift.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed : - High School Diploma or equivalence.
- 1 Cardiac Telemetry.
- 2 ECG experience that included stress testing, holter monitor, and signal average.
- BCLS – Basic Life Support.
