As our Cardiovascular Technician, you will assistin cardiac catheterization, as well as vascular diagnostic andinterventional procedures. You will also perform emergencyprocedures associated with catheterization procedure – IAB andtemporary pacer insertion. You will follow established standardsand practices under the direction of a credentialed invasivecardiologist or credentialed invasive radiologist. Your tasksand responsibilities may include:
You will demonstrateresponsibility and accountability in recognizing and identifyingpotential and actual patient problems, collecting accurate data andparticipate in the patient’s Place of Care in accordance with thedepartment/unit’s standards. You will prioritize resources topatient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate patientinformation and staff capabilities. You will demonstrate knowledgeof cardiac A & P, with the specific conditions and diseases (CAD),and treatment therapies for the specific patient populations of theDepartment. You will demonstrate knowledge and competency toperform Cath lab procedures. You will assist in data collection andr/t cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal and peripheralvascular procedures. You will also document findings and reportsabnormal or out-of-range results to physician.
Qualifications:
Highschool or GED required Graduate of an accredited CVT or RCVTprogram preferred or an LPN, Registered Respiratory Therapist, ARRTor Paramedic with 1 year hospital based experience, Must have anRCIS certification.
