Job Summary and Qualifications We are currentlyseeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join our team. As ourCardiovascular Technician, you will assist in cardiaccatheterization, as well as vascular diagnostic and interventionalprocedures. You will also perform emergency procedures associatedwith catheterization procedure – IAB and temporary pacer insertion.

You will follow established standards and practices under thedirection of a credentialed invasive cardiologist, or credentialedinvasive radiologist. Your tasks and responsibilities may include: You will demonstrate responsibility and accountability inrecognizing and identifying potential and actual patient problems,collecting accurate data and participate in the patient’s Place ofCare in accordance with the department/unit’s standards. You will prioritize resources to patient care and diagnosticactivities based on accurate patient information and staffcapabilities. You will demonstrate knowledge of cardiac A & P, with thespecific conditions, diseases (CAD), and treatment therapies forthe specific patient populations of the Department. You will demonstrate knowledge and competency to perform Cathlab procedures. You will assist in data collection r/t cardiovascular,respiratory, neurological, renal and peripheral vascular status.

You will also document findings and reports abnormal orout-of-range results to physician.

Qualifications:

High school or GED required LPN one year experience with Critical Care course within oneyear of hire or one year Cath Lab experience or one year RCIS orCVT or Graduate of accredited RCVT program. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonalcommunication skills, ability to read/comprehend writteninstructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months ofemployment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days ofemployment start date Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist must be obtainedwithin 2 years of employment start date High School Graduate / GEDNo Travel Required2 years experienceRequired Years of Experience HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is a 400bed acute care hospital in Brandon, FL.
