Job Summary and Qualifications We are currentlyseeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join our team. As ourCardiovascular Technician, you will assist in cardiaccatheterization, as well as vascular diagnostic and interventionalprocedures. You will also perform emergency procedures associatedwith catheterization procedure – IAB and temporary pacer insertion.

You will follow established standards and practices under thedirection of a credentialed invasive cardiologist, or credentialedinvasive radiologist. Your tasks and responsibilities may include:

You will demonstrate responsibility and accountability inrecognizing and identifying potential and actual patient problems,collecting accurate data and participate in the patient’s Place ofCare in accordance with the department/unit’s standards. You willprioritize resources to patient care and diagnostic activitiesbased on accurate patient information and staff capabilities. Youwill demonstrate knowledge of cardiac A & P, with the specificconditions, diseases (CAD), and treatment therapies for thespecific patient populations of the Department. You willdemonstrate knowledge and competency to perform Cath labprocedures. You will assist in data collection r/t cardiovascular,respiratory, neurological, renal and peripheral vascular status.

You will also document findings and reports abnormal orout-of-range results to physician.

Qualifications:

High school orGED required Graduate of an accredited CVT or RCVT programpreferred or an LPN, Registered Respiratory Therapist or Paramedicwith 1 year hospital based experience. Current BLS (Basic LifeSupport) Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Criticalthinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communicationskills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability tofollow verbal instructions, PC skills HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is a 400bed acute care hospital in Brandon, FL.
