Overview There are three cath labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab.
AN RN who is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset will truly value their professional experience they will acquire while working, as there are alot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated with state-of-art Cath Lab technology and medical devices. The Director is a servant-leader with 30 years of UF Health Leesburg experience and is dedicated to the success of her team and the people of her community. Responsibilities The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. This is a Full Time, Day Shift position eligible for a sign-on bonus. On-Call (1 night a week and 1 weekend a month probably every 3rd or 4th weekend=Fri night close of business to Mon 6 am) Must report w/in 30 min. Qualifications Education
Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
Licensure/Certification/Registration
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:
- FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR
- FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
- any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
BLS required
ACLS required
