Job Description
Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida is looking for a qualified Device Technician – CVI Tavares & CVI The Villages to join our growing cardiology practice teams in Tavares, FL & The Villages Locations The Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Device Technician to join our team at our Tavares and The Villages locations. This role is essential in providing high-quality cardiac device monitoring and patient care in a dynamic and patient-focused environment. As a Device Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing implanted cardiac devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators. You will work closely with our cardiologists and clinical staff to ensure optimal device function, troubleshoot issues, and educate patients on device management.
Key Responsibilities:
Interrogate, program, and troubleshoot pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders from major device manufacturers (Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Biotronik). Conduct in-office and remote monitoring of cardiac devices, ensuring accurate data collection and timely reporting to physicians. Educate patients on device function, home monitoring, and follow-up care. Collaborate with the cardiology team to assist in patient management and treatment planning. Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR). Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices for device management.
Qualifications:
Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Experience in cardiac device management, electrophysiology, or cardiovascular technology Strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and device programming. Proficiency in using remote monitoring platforms and electronic health records. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Ability to travel between the Tavares and The Villages locations as needed.
