Job Summary and Qualifications Cardiovascular TechnicianWe are currently seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join ourteam. As our Cardiovascular Technician, you will assist in cardiaccatheterization, as well as vascular diagnostic and interventionalprocedures. You will also perform emergency procedures associatedwith catheterization procedure – IAB and temporary pacer insertion.

You will follow established standards and practices under thedirection of a credentialed invasive cardiologist or credentialedinvasive radiologist. We are an amazing team that works hard tosupport each other while providing the best possible patient care.

You will demonstrate responsibility and accountability inrecognizing and identifying potential and actual patient problems,collecting accurate data and participate in the patient’s Place ofCare in accordance with the department/unit’s standards. You willprioritize resources to patient care and diagnostic activitiesbased on accurate patient information and staff capabilities. Youwill demonstrate knowledge of cardiac A & P, with the specificconditions and diseases (CAD), and treatment therapies for thespecific patient populations of the Department. You willdemonstrate knowledge and competency to perform Cath labprocedures. You will assist in data collection and r/tcardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal and peripheralvascular procedures. You will also document findings and reportsabnormal or out-of-range results to physician.

Qualifications:

Highschool or GED required Graduate of an accredited CVT or RCVTprogram preferred or an LPN, Registered Respiratory Therapist orParamedic with 1 year hospital based experience. Current BLS (BasicLife Support) Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Critical thinking, service excellenceand good interpersonal communication skills, ability toread/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbalinstructions, PC skills HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bedhospital. We are located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acrecampus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designatedLevel II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. Wehave received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Ourservices include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burncare, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
