The InvasiveCardiovascular Technologist provides fundamental technical supportby assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra andpost-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies anddevices, cardiac and physiologic patient monitoring and assistingwith direct patient care. Responsible for assisting the physicianwith safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopicequipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipmentused for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate andliaison. Estimated pay range for this position is $33.58 – $56.15 /hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees:
HighSchool,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Licenses & Certifications:
Basic LifeSupport.
Additional Qualifications:
Cardiovascular or CardiopulmonaryTechnologist (CVT) from an accredited school of CardiovascularTechnology or a graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureateacademic program in health science (includes, but not limited to,cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology,respiratory therapy, or nursing).Associate’s or Bachelor’s degreepreferred.
Eligible to sit for the Registered CardiovascularInvasive Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular ElectrophysiologySpecialist exam upon completion of one year full-time workexperience in invasive cardiovascular technology.
Completes aminimum of 12 CEUs annually (10 CEUs must be CV related).
MinimumRequired Experience:
1 year.
