Facility in St Petersburg, Florida Job Details Fusion MedicalStaffing is seeking a skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist for a 13week travel assignment in St Petersburg, Florida . RequiredQualifications:

One year of recent experience as a CVOR surgicaltech Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

CST or nationally recognized equivalent certification Othercertifications and licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

CVOR surgical technologists facilitates the safe andeffective execution of cardiovascular surgical procedures under thesupervision of the surgeon. They are responsible for preparing theoperating room, maintaining sterile environments, ensuringequipment functionality, and anticipating the needs of the surgicalteam to maximize patient safety and procedural efficiency.

Essential Work Functions:

Set up the operating room prior tosurgical procedures Stock surgical supplies and inspect surgicalmachines and equipment to ensure proper functionality prior toprocedures Assist in Transporting patients to and from surgery asrequired Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists,perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated careAnticipating the surgeon’s needs and efficiently passinginstruments are essential for maintaining procedural flow Handlespecimens with precision and care to maintain diagnostic integrityand follow institutional protocols Collaborate with other healthteam members to ensure seamless surgical workflow Maintainsterility by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment incompliance with infection control standards Utilize data fromsurgical preference cards for the surgical procedure and surgeonMaintain proficiency in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgicalprocedures, including open and closed heart surgeries Perform otherduties as assigned within the scope of practice Adhere to hospitalsafety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatorystandards

Required Essential Skills:

Critical thinking, serviceexcellence and good interpersonal communication skills The abilityto read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbalinstructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

• Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment(50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
• Towork effectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able towork under close supervision occasionally as well as workingwithout assistance from other personnel.
