Phoenix Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a part-time Cardiovascular Sonographer to join their team. The Sonographer (Echocardiographer, Cardiac Sonographer, Cardiac Echo Technician) is a key member of the practice who helps provide an atmosphere of compassionate and quality care to patients and their families. The sonographer’s role is to provide high-quality diagnostic images to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease. Professionally collaborates with the both the medical and administrative team members to provide patients with a positive experience. Adheres to all policies related to PHI and HIPAA privacy practices.

Half-day, Full-day, and Saturday hours available Pay based on experience. Range starting at $45.
Specific Duties:
Performs ultrasound examinations of the heart and peripheral vascular system in accordance with practice protocols Uses sound independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information Prepare patients for the exam by explaining procedure, assisting, if necessary, in transferring the patient to the ultrasound table, and positioning patient properly Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information, verify accuracy of diagnostic order(s) Document ultrasound findings and communicate them to medical staff in accordance with protocols Ensures ultrasound equipment is clean, maintained, and in good working order Manage supplies and stock room as needed Maintain a clean and orderly exam/procedure rooms, common areas, and workspace Adheres to applicable professional and ethical standards Provide compassionate, professional patient care and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment Provide continuity of care while communicating in a professional manner with all team members
Qualifications:
Highest level of education required: Associate degree 3-5 years of experience in cardiovascular ultrasound imaging: Required Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR): Required (within 90 days of hire)
