Part Time Cardiovascular Tech Ankle & Foot Centers of Georgia Jonesboro, GA 30236 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. This position requires a strong understanding of cardiology, medical terminology, and various cardiovascular procedures. The Cardiovascular Technician will work closely with patients and other medical staff to ensure high-quality care and accurate diagnostic results. Responsibilities Perform cardiac catheterization procedures under the supervision of a physician. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Assist in the operation of diagnostic equipment such as telemetry monitors, sonography machines, and radiology devices. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Collect and analyze patient data, including vital signs and medical history. Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and outcomes. Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans. Stay updated on advancements in cardiovascular technology and techniques. Requirements Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization techniques and protocols. Proficiency in aseptic technique to prevent infections during procedures. Familiarity with cardiology concepts, including physiology and anatomy related to the cardiovascular system. Understanding of medical terminology relevant to cardiology practices. Experience with telemetry monitoring systems and sonography is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced lab environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
