Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Perfusionist to join their Perfusion Services team. This contract role involves supporting critical cardiovascular surgical procedures across a busy operating schedule. The ideal candidate is confident with complex perfusion techniques and equipment, and committed to excellence in patient outcomes. Orientation and onboarding will be provided for first-time travelers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heart-lung machines and related equipment during cardiac surgeries
• Perform setup, priming, initiation, and weaning of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB)
• Support a variety of cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, and complex aortic procedures
• Apply blood conservation strategies and temperature management techniques
• Ensure accurate patient monitoring, documentation, and compliance with safety protocols
• Provide mechanical circulatory support including ECLS and IABP
• Float within the facility and scope of practice as required

Required Qualifications:

• Active Georgia state license (or Compact if applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent perfusion experience
• BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to perform procedures such as CPB, cardioplegia, aortic valve replacements, and ECLS
