Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicatedCardiac-Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team ofhealthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have specializedknowledge and expertise in cardiac-interventional radiography,performing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional proceduresto assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascularconditions. This role plays a crucial part in deliveringhigh-quality patient care and contributing to the success of ourhealthcare facility.
Responsibilities:
Cardiac-InterventionalProcedures:
Perform a variety of cardiac-interventional radiographyprocedures, including but not limited to cardiac catheterizations,angioplasties, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies.
Patient Care:
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughoutprocedures, providing clear explanations, addressing concerns, andmonitoring vital signs.
Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintainspecialized radiologic equipment, including fluoroscopy machines,digital imaging systems, and other related technology.
RadiationSafety:
Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposureto patients, staff, and oneself.
Image Quality:
Producehigh-quality diagnostic images, adjust equipment settings asneeded, and troubleshoot technical issues to optimize imagequality.
Documentation:
Accurately record patient information,procedure details, and radiation doses in electronic health records(EHR) or other documentation systems.
Collaboration:
Collaboratewith cardiologists, interventional radiologists, nurses, and otherhealthcare professionals to plan and execute procedureseffectively.
Emergency Response:
Be prepared to respond to medicalemergencies during procedures, including CPR and other life-savingmeasures.
Continuing Education:
Stay current with advances incardiac-interventional radiography by attending relevantconferences, workshops, and training programs.
Quality Assurance:
Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities tomaintain accreditation standards and ensure the safety and accuracyof procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree orAssociate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
Must be licensed and certified as a Radiologic Technologist.
Certification:
Certification in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography(CI) from a recognized certifying body (e.g., ARRT or CCI) isrequired.
Experience:
Previous experience as a RadiologicTechnologist with a focus on cardiac-interventional radiography ispreferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating radiologicequipment, fluoroscopy machines, and digital imaging systems.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonalskills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teammembers. Attention to

Strong attention to detail andproblem-solving abilities to ensure accurate and high-qualityimages.
Safety Awareness:
Thorough understanding of radiationsafety protocols and best practices.
