RESPONSIBLE FOR
Perform inpatient and/oroutpatient cardiac ultrasound testing to include 2D echo / Dopplerexams with bubble study, contrast as well as limited studies forcardiac function, effusion assessment and thrombus assessment.
Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasoundtechnology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients andprovide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
Graduate of registryapproved ultrasound program, a CAAHEP accredited CardiacSonographer program, or equivalent experience according toIntersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED
None
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW
Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registryof Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certificationor Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCScertification. Must obtain appropriate credential within twelvemonths of hire date. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification inaccordance with the American Heart Association is required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of related experience as ahospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographerpreferred.
