The102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient andoutpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center atBarnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women’sCenter, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and theOutpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center. Barnes-Jewish St. PetersHospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level IIstroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical officebuilding houses offices for specialists in primary care,cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology.

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient servicesincluding physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonaryrehabilitation. TheCardiac Rehab department includes both inpatient and outpatientservices for Cardiac and Cardiopulmonary to include exercise andeducation Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The AdvancedModality Special Procedures Technologist

• CCL/IR/Neuro performs avariety of complex, specialized tasks in all cardiac, vascular,neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures for thepurpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologicdisorders. Responsibilities
• Demonstrate subject matter expertisefor the operation, maintenance, quality assurance andtroubleshooting of all radiographic equipment used in the cardiac,vascular, neuroradiology and interventional procedures.
• Scrubsand surgically assists physician during, cardiac, vascular,neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures toinclude: maintaining sterile field, handling of instruments andsupplies, participates in placement/implantation of catheters,guide wires and medical devices (ie stents, intra-aortic balloonpump, pacemakers, lead revisions, etc.

) operating and monitoringequipment and bi-plane table, and alerts physician to changes inpatient condition.

• Performs specialized radiographic imagingexaminations to make special study radiographs of designated bodyportions in accordance with radiation safety procedures.
• Prepareand position patients and select anatomic and technical parametersaccurately to ensure most optimal patient outcome.
• BJC hasdetermined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to workin a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is anessential function of this job. Minimum Requirements Education
• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• Licenses & Certifications
• R.T.(R), CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS Preferred Requirements Education
• Associate’s Degree
• Radiography Experience
• 2-5 years SupervisorExperience
