RCIS, ARRT or RN with 2+ years intensive care experience. Cardiac Catheterization Lab or Vascular lab experience preferred.

Position Details:

Looking for an individual with cardiac invasive lab experience to work in our vascular lab as part of the vascular call team.

Pineville Cardiac Catheterization Lab Specialty/Unit:

Vascular PTO is awarded 1 week every quarter 1 hour

Call Back Shift Details:

Weeknight role: On Call every weekend for Vascular cases with guaranteed paid of 40 hours per week. Friday 1600-Monday 0730 Work one 10-hour day per week in Cath lab or Vascular lab. Job Summary The Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology Specialist III provides professional care in the SHVI Invasive Cardiac, Electrophysiology, and Vascular Laboratories in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Essential Functions Demonstrates evidence-based practice and performs care for the comfort and wellbeing of the patient. Performs and/or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant, monitoring and circulating) under the direction of the physician. Administers medication under the direct supervision of the physician, as appropriate Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in the patient record. Conveys relevant information to physicians and teammates. Calculates, interprets and analyzes data. Assists in development of policies, procedures and standards of care reflective of current practice/literature. Highly Recommended to participate in committee and governance activities. Physical Requirements Intermittent to rapid pace with high pressure situations, requiring periods of prolonged concentration and critical thinking. Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, manual dexterity, good eye hand coordination. Standing and walking while wearing 10-20 lbs lead radiation protection aprons. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Potential exposure to radiation, secretions and blood. Confined work area. Education, Experience and Certifications Satisfactory completion of high school and an accredited program of Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology, The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or related field required. Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist training or experience preferred. Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Technology program, such as Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or comparable. Graduate of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist.
