Tallo's Job Summary: The Cardiac Sonographer-WPP at WakeMed Health & Hospitals performs echocardiograms and must be proficient in ultrasound imaging. Basic Life Support certification is required. Candidates must have a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer license and a graduate degree in Cardiac Ultrasound or an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Sonography. One year of clinical experience is preferred.
Job Description
Overview The Cardiac Sonographer performs echocardiograms of patient’s anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology. They must demonstrate proficiency in the use of ultrasound equipment to visualize and record quality images of the structures of the cardiovascular system in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures.
