SummaryThe RNdevelops an overall view of patients, families and caregivers, andestablishes strong partnerships to deliver optimal care. EssentialDuties and ResponsibilitiesSupports and promotes the mission andvalues of Covenant Health Ministry.

Renders professional nursingcare to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital, insupport of medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuantto objectives and policies of the hospital Compliant in completionof all unit specific competencies and requirements required to carefor critically ill patients with the department.

Involved in qualityimprovement planning and processes for the area of practiceClinical documentation and care plans completed comprehensively forall patients assigned in a timely manner Seeks feedback regardingpractice and takes actions as appropriate. Practice reflectsknowledge of current practice standards(ANA, NH Nurse Practice Act,Specialty standards) Communicates patient information appropriatefor continuity and safe care through hand offs, walking rounds, andphysician/provider interaction.

Provides a safe and secureenvironment for patients, visitors, and staff by followingestablished procedures and protocols Implements resources andinitiatives that are in place or in process to improve patientsafety. Works within guidelines of Just Culture Environment topromote error reporting and adoption of safe practices. Assuresissues are addressed through appropriate use of the chain ofcommand Completes hourly rounding in collaboration with LNAs(Licensed Nursing Assistant) on all assigned patients Identifiesand assists in correction of patient care safety issues. IVUS. RN

must demonstratecontraindications and reversal for IV adenosine infusion. Abilityto safely administer procedural sedation. Pass annual sedationexamination. Documents sedation according to policies andprocedures.
