Responsibilities Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiacstructures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols

• Set up and adjust all imaging equipment and manually maneuvertransducers to perform exams.
• Implement safety standards andperform appropriate quality control procedures.
• Perform routineand complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures
• Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology andequipment limitations.
• Position patients and select anatomic andtechnical parameters accurately.
• Ensure all activities complywith regulatory agency standards.
• Ensure prompt submission ofhigh-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (imagequality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Assistin maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to includeprocedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areaand any other areas in department.

Requirements Licensure /Certification /

Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One ormore of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialedfrom the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtainedwithin 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialedfrom the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transferdate.
• Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registryfor Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months(180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographercredentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic MedicalSonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire dateor job transfer date.
• Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiaccredentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International(CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or jobtransfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technicaldegree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experiencerequired.
