Monitor Technician 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Memphis, TN 38104 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Telemetry Monitor Technician to join our healthcare team. The Monitor Technician plays a crucial role in patient care by continuously monitoring patients’ vital signs and cardiac rhythms. This position requires a strong understanding of telemetry and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient conditions. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques, ensuring high standards of patient safety and care.

Need:

High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years Tele/Monitor Tech experience, PREFERRED LPN background #allied Duties Continuously monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment. Recognize and report any changes or abnormalities in patients’ conditions to the nursing staff. Maintain accurate records of patients’ monitoring data and communicate findings effectively. Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures, including cardiac catheterization and other diagnostic tests. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques during patient interactions and equipment handling. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care in a Level II Trauma Center environment. Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to enhance skills related to cardiology, radiology, and telemetry. Qualifications Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential. Experience or training in telemetry monitoring is preferred. Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures is advantageous. Aseptic technique experience is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment, particularly within a Level II Trauma Center. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff. Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
