POSITIONSUMMARY
: Resident Care Coordinator implements standards ofresident care on a 24-hour basis in the AL/MC units of the campus.
This position oversees the nursing aspects, directing andevaluating of all Assisted Living, Alzheimer’s personnel providingdirect resident care within the campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
:
Maintains residents’ charts to include all admission documents,care plans, records of care, and any other documents required bystate regulatory agencies. Operates the Assisted Living andAlzheimer’s areas in compliance with all regulations from federal,state, or any other governmental agencies having jurisdiction overthe campus and act as liaison between the campus and regulatoryagencies. Implements the administration of resident medications,assesses response to medications and treatments and makesappropriate adjustments or recommendations for nursing activity tobe implemented. Participates in and leads staff meetings andimplements nursing program. Conducts daily resident rounds andinitiates corrective action as necessary. Participates in andattends all in-service training and education programs asscheduled. Other duties as assigned.

Full Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Expected Hours ofWork:
The physical demands described here are representative ofthose that must be met by an employee to successfully perform theessential functions of this job. This position is very active andrequires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stoopingand climbing. This position will be required to lift or carryweight up to 50 lbs. and ability to push up to 250 poundsindependently. The individual must use proper body mechanics toassist residents in their daily living. This position regularlyrequires long hours and frequent night and weekend work.
TRAVEL:
Notravel is expected although occasional travel may be required fortraining sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergencysituations, and other company functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS
Two
- or Four-year college or university degreerequired.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
Two years’ experience in a similar healthcare position required.
Five years of healthcare experience desired. Remain in goodstanding with all standards of the Nurse Practice Act.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to read, write, speak andunderstand English fluently. Ability to meet or exceed thecompany’s attendance and punctuality standards. Ability to useElectronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.
Ability to understand and follow directions as given. Ability towork with minimal supervision. SLC1
